Basic trading systems

Trading systems are representations of technical trading rules that can be evaluated currently (new trading signals) or viewed historically for optimization and testing.

Trading systems are displayed like time series in the chart. The trading systems in Infront Portfolio Manager provide signal sources (e.g. RSI 30/70) that can be linked to the price time series. The trading signals (buy, sell signals, etc.) are then also plotted in the price trend.

The term indicator is primarily used in the Infront Portfolio Manager to describe the pure progression, while the term basic trading system stands for a standard indicator that provides corresponding buy and sell signals (and also displays these in the chart).

The Infront Portfolio Manager distinguishes between various systems that have different focuses and can also be linked with each other in some cases.
