Free shares
The "bonus shares" transaction type is one of the corporate actions at Depot transaction types.
Proceed as follows to record bonus shares:
- Open the "Enter transactions" worksheet as described above in the section Enter transactions and select the desired holder if necessary.
- Open the DEPOT menu in the "Enter transactions" worksheet.
- Go to Depot transaction types and select the transaction type GRATISAKTIEN.
Use the keyboard to enter bonus shares with the "Enter transactions" worksheet open as follows: Press the key combination <CTRL>+<1> for the securities account transaction types. Then press the <G> button.
The "Free shares" dialog box appears, the first page of which largely corresponds to the "Purchase" dialog box. Select the security for which you would like to book bonus shares.
In the case of bonus shares, the number of securities already in the securities account is also displayed (on the second page of the "Bonus shares" dialog box). You will find the following input fields on the second page of the "Bonus shares" dialog box:

Number of old people | The position of the security is shown here before the bonus shares are booked in. |
Number of new | Enter the number of bonus shares here. |
Total | The sum of the two values is calculated or entered in this field. |
The amount payable for bonus shares is zero, unless you specify expenses or fees.
Ensure that the new total is correct ("Total" field) and that the order date is correct. Otherwise, errors will occur in the subsequent evaluations.
