Reorganize course system
You can reorganize the course system using the database tool. This is useful, for example, after removing securities from the database using the "Remove securities from local data storage" function.
The function creates a new rate system into which it copies the old time series. Unnecessary time series are removed and hard disk space is freed up. The process can be canceled until shortly before its end without data loss. Proceed as follows to carry out the reorganization:
- Exit the Infront Portfolio Manager.
- Start the database tool via the <Database tool> command in the Windows start menu.
- In the main menu of the database tool, select the command MAINTENANCE, REORGANIZE COURSE SYSTEM.
The dialog box "Compact/defragment course system" opens.
Select the desired transfer mode via the corresponding option:- Transfer all course data
Activate this option to transfer all course data to the new course system. This is the recommended setting. If this takes too long or the course system is permanently destroyed, one of the other options can be used. - Transfer price data for securities held in custody
Activate this option to transfer only the essential price data for securities held in custody to the new price system. Expired securities with reference to a securities account are taken into account, as are securities that were in a securities account and have been sold again. - Create empty course system
- Transfer all course data
- Start the reorganization of the course system with the "Start" button.
The new course system is created.
If you selected the options "Transfer price data to securities accounts" or "Create empty price system" during the reorganization, you can then add data by importing histories.
