Remove securities from local data storage

You have the option of deleting entire security types from the database if they are included in your data subscription but you do not (currently) need them. Data retrieval and import are also adapted accordingly and thus accelerated. Securities affected by custody account transactions remain in the database.

You can look up the securities you need that are included in your data subscription at any time using the online search integrated in the object search and import them individually. Read the section Search for securities online search in the online help.

Proceed as follows to delete certain security types from the database:

  1. Exit the Infront Portfolio Manager if necessary.
  2. Start the database tool via the <Database tool> command in the Windows start menu.
  3. In the main menu of the database tool, select INSTALLATION, REMOVE SECURITIES FROM LOCAL DATA STORAGE.
The "Remove securities from local data storage" dialog box opens.
  4. In this dialog box, activate the checkboxes for the security types that you do not need in your database.
You can remove the following security types in detail:
    • Certificates
    • Warrants
    • Options
    • Bonds
    • Fund
    • Shares
  5. Select the "Start deletion" button.
The securities of the selected types are removed.
The data retrieval configuration is adjusted accordingly.
The price data of the deleted securities is not removed from the price system. The course system should therefore subsequently be reorganized. You can also do this using the database tool.
