Index overview

You can find the "Index overview" report in the "Securities analysis" template category. This evaluation can be opened via the FILE, OPEN TEMPLATE command in the ribbon, for example. The index overview lists the most important securities of the "Index" type by default. The list is based on the "Index selection" security - of course only if this is also in the database. This index contains the most important indices as index composition. You can use the parameters to select a different security or a folder as the basis.

Take the following information from the individual columns of the evaluation:

Description

Name

The name of the security.

Close

The close (closing price) of the security.

Course date

The date of the closing price.

Diff. Previous day

The percentage difference to the previous day's closing price.

Trend [25]

This column provides the slope of the regression line on the close for the set period.

The default setting for the short period is 25 days. You can change this setting via the evaluation parameters. Read the following section Parameters of the index overview.

Trend [200]

This column provides the slope of the regression line on the close for the set period.

The default setting for the long period is 200 days. You can change this setting via the evaluation parameters. Read the following subsection 44598373.

Distance [GD 25]

Percentage distance of the current close from the moving average.

The default setting for the short GD is 25 days. You can change this setting via the evaluation parameters.

Distance [GD 200]

Percentage distance of the current close from the moving average.

The default setting for the short GD is 200 days. You can change this setting via the evaluation parameters.

Performance

In three columns you will find the percentage performance development of the securities on the evaluation date: in the current calendar year, since the beginning of the previous year and since the beginning of the previous year.

Volatility [25]

Percentage volatility in the short term.

The default setting for the short period is 25 days. You can change this setting via the evaluation parameters.

Volatility [200]

Percentage volatility over the long term.

The default setting for the long period is 200 days. You can change this setting via the evaluation parameters.

Place

The standard valuation place of the security.

If necessary, read the section Configuring valuation places.

Country

The country of the security from the security master data.

ISIN

The ISIN (International Security Identification Number) of the security.

WKN

Spalte standardmäßig ausgeblendet

The WKN from the index master data.

MMWKN

Spalte standardmäßig ausgeblendet

The MMWKN from the master data of the price quotation (standard valuation place).

Security no.

Spalte standardmäßig ausgeblendet

The Swiss security number from the index master data.

Parameters of the index overview

You can use the parameters to edit the index overview. Display the parameters using the "Show parameter and filter settings" icon.

The index overview has the following parameters:

Index

Enter the desired index whose index composition is to be displayed here.

The "Search" icon to the right of the input field takes you to the Object searchto search for the desired index.

The default setting is the "Index selection" index, if this is in the database.

You can also drag and drop indices from the table or from the Explorer into this input field to display their composition.

If a folder is also entered underneath, its elements are displayed.

Folder

Alternatively, enter a folder whose securities are to be displayed here.

The "Search" icon to the right of the input field takes you to the Object searchto search for the desired folder.

Tip: You can also drag and drop folders from the Explorer into this input field to display their contents.

Short period (days)

The short period (in days) over which, for example, the moving average, volatility and also the trend are calculated.

You can change the time period using the arrow buttons. Or select the period with the mouse and enter a different number of days.

The default setting is 25 days.

Long period (days)

The long period (in days) over which, for example, the moving average, volatility and also the trend are calculated.

You can change the time period using the arrow buttons. Or select the period with the mouse and enter a different number of days.

The default setting is 200 days.

Evaluation date

Evaluation date of the evaluation.

The default setting is the current date or the evaluation date entered in the input field on the "Start" tab.
