Open alert display via the ribbon

Portfolio Service Alerting" module

You can start the display of alerts via the ALERT DISPLAY command on the "Start" tab.

The "Alert display" icon has three states:

No alerts available

Alerts available

New alerts available

You can quickly recognize whether new alerts have been created by this icon: If new alerts occur after the last time the alert display was called up, the icon changes to the "New alerts available" status.

If you select the "Alert display" icon, the complete alerts including date, time of detection, message, etc. are displayed in the evaluation area.

The alert display is divided into two parts. At the bottom you can select an alert definition or a category. The associated alerts are then displayed at the top. The numbers after the alert definition name show the number and date of the alerts. In the example above, 14 alerts on 13.03.2017.

By double-clicking on the name of the category, you can expand and collapse the alert definitions of this category in extensive lists.
The upper area with the alerts has the following columns:

Name

The name of the Explorer object.

Message

The alert definition message.

Date

The date on which the alert was created.

Determination date

The exact date and time at which the alert was created.

More columns

You can select additional data fields via the configuration of the alert definitions, which then appear here as columns.

The following commands are available in the alert display via the context menu:

Portfolio, owner..

Depending on the input object, the useful commands also known from the Explorer are available at the top of the context menu.

For example, for portfolios you will find the command PORTFOLIO, CONFIGURE PORTFOLIO here. This will take you directly to the "Configure portfolios" dialog box. If necessary, please also read the section Configure portfolios.

For owners, you can use the context menu to quickly enter comments, switch to the user-defined fields, etc.

Open base object with alert template

Select this command to switch directly to the alert template.

If necessary, read the section Edit alert definitionsto find out how to assign a template to an alert definition. Please also read the example of an alert definition.

Open base object

Select this command to open the workspace of the input object.

Open base object with template..

Select this command or press the <F10> key with the line highlighted to open the &quot;Open template&quot; dialog box and select any template for the base object.

Folder view of base object

Select this command or press the <F2> key with the line highlighted to open the base object in the folder view.

Basic object properties

Select this command or press the <F12> key when a line is highlighted to open the master data of the input object.
