Sale

To enter a sale, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the "Enter transactions" worksheet as described above in the section Enter transactions and select the desired holder if necessary.
  2. Open the DEPOT menu in the "Enter transactions" worksheet.
  3. Select the transaction type SALE at Depot transaction types .
    Use the keyboard to enter a sale with the "Enter transactions" worksheet open as follows: Press the key combination <CTRL>+<1> for the securities account transaction types. Then press the button<S>.
    The "Sales" dialog box appears.
  4. Complete or change the information in the fields if necessary. The details of these fields can be found in the table in the section Purchaseas they correspond to these.
    Use the "Select security from securities account" function when selling. You can use this function to quickly select securities from the securities account specified above (and the depository, if applicable).
    To do this, select the icon and then the desired security from the list of securities in the securities account that appears.
  5. Confirm the first page of the dialog box with "Next".

    The second page appears, on which you enter the further details of the sales transaction in the same way as for a purchase.

    Make sure that all entries match the details on the corresponding bank statement.

    If you have licensed the "Cost service" module and have an Internet connection to the service, you can also download the associated sales costs directly from the cost service. If necessary, please also read the section Transactions and cost service.

    The fields are largely identical to those in the dialog window for entering a purchase. Special features:

    Quantity

    Enter the desired number of items to be sold here.

    The total number of items in the depot is displayed.

    Redemption fee

    When selling funds, you can enter the redemption fees here.

    The tax information is largely the same as when recording income from securities. You can access the data by clicking on the "Taxes" mini-tab on the second page of the "Sales" dialog window.

    Assessment basis

    If you enter an assessment basis for a sale even though it is not a transaction subject to withholding tax (i.e. it is actually entered incorrectly or at least very unusually), this assessment basis will be shown as taxable income from program version 5.00 onwards.

  6. Confirm the entries with the "Enter" button.

Closing of futures positions

When closing futures positions in securities accounts, you can enter the opening price manually in the input field of the same name on the second page of the "Sell" dialog box.
