Record modules

Portfolio Service Investment Agent" module or "Portfolio Service Rebalancing" module

Proceed as follows to enter modules manually:

  1. Select the "Configure investment agents" icon on the "Ordering" tab.
    Or use the key combination<CTRL>+<ALT>+<I>.
Or select the "Configure investment agents" icon on your quick access toolbar. In the chapter Quick access toolbar , you will learn how to configure the quick access toolbar and thus have quick access to exactly the functions you need time and again.
  2. Then switch to the "Modules" tab in the "Investment agents" worksheet.
  3. Select the "Create new module" icon. A new module is added to the list of modules on the left-hand side.
  4. Enter a name for the module in the "Name" input field.
  5. You can select the asset classification of the module in the "Classification" selection list. The default setting is "Asset class". If necessary, please also read the section Asset class configuration for modules.
  6. You can then use the "Weight distribution..." button to view or change the weight distribution of the selected classification.
  7. If necessary, enter a new value in the "Base weight" input field. If necessary, please also read the section Weight configuration modules.
  8. You can now create securities positions for this module in the "Positions" area and assign weights to them. Use the "Create new module position" icon to open the familiar object search to search for securities in the database. Alternatively, you can also drag securities from the Explorer into the input field.
  9. Assign the desired weight for this item by entering the value in the "Weight" column. Weights are always to be interpreted here in relation to the weight total (as with index compilations), the "Weight %" column is displayed next to it for information purposes.
If you want to record short positions, enter a negative value in the "Weight" column.
  10. In the "Alternative securities" area on the right-hand side, you can also search for alternative securities for each position using the object search and assign them to the positions. Alternatively, you can also drag securities from the Explorer into the input field.
The alternative securities are relevant in the order in which they appear in the alternative list, e.g. if there are restrictions in the portfolio properties for the main security. You can change this order using drag & drop.
  11. You can enter purely informative notes for the module in the "Remarks" input field.
  12. Proceed in the same way for all other securities positions to be invested. The total of this column is displayed at the bottom of the "Weight" column.
  13. If necessary, use the "Delete selected module position" icon to remove selected positions. You can also use the EXCHANGE PAPER command in the context menu to quickly change module positions.
  14. Create all other modules in the same way and save the configuration with the "Save" icon or the key combination <CTRL>+<S>.

The following section Import modules explains how to import securities directly into modules.
