Filter

The filters in the Infront Portfolio Manager are folders that compile their content based on an individually definable table layout. In principle, a table layout is used together with an input list to define the filter. When you open an (automatically evaluated) filter for the first time after starting the program, the corresponding table (filter template) is evaluated in the background. Once the table evaluation is complete, the objects determined in this way are added to the filter.

You can individually define which filter template a filter is linked to, which additional static elements should always be in the folder and when this filter is evaluated. Filter folders can have their own copy of the table template as well as reference a table template.

Filters therefore differ from "normal" folders in that they first recalculate their content when they are opened. It may therefore take a little more time to open a particularly extensive filter. Normally, however, the opening time is comparable to that of a "normal" folder.

Filters with the "Evaluate manually" setting store their content in the database (just like conventional folders).
