Create new asset classification

Proceed as follows to create a new asset classification in the open "Edit basic asset classes" dialog box:

  1. In the "Edit basic asset classes" dialog box, switch to the "Asset classifications" tab.
  2. Click on the "Create new asset classification" icon above the list. The new asset classification appears in the list.
The "Create asset classification" dialog box appears.
  3. In the "Create asset classification" dialog box, enter a name and, if necessary, a different display name in the "Name" input field. Then select the "Classification formula" button. The formula editor opens.
  4. Enter the desired definition in the formula editor. A new classification with splitting option can be set up using a previously created user-defined field of the type "Weight distribution". If necessary, read the section Use user-defined fields.
  5. Save the formula. The formula editor is closed.
  6. Confirm the "Create asset classification" dialog box with "OK". The green tick on the icon of the "Classification formula" button always indicates that a (valid) formula has been saved.
  7. The "Edit basic asset classes" dialog box appears again.
  8. Confirm your entries with "OK".
