Offsetting historical cost prices
Some MM-Talk functions(portfolio valuation, some functions on transactions) offer the option of evaluating with historical purchase prices. If this option is activated, the purchase price is calculated as follows:
If (for the respective posting) the checkbox "Historic purchase" is not activated, the valuation price and (for FIFO) the valuation date are used. If the checkbox is activated, the following applies:
- For "Average", the values from the "Historical values" tab are always used (as before version 5.30).
- For "FIFO", the values from the "Historical values" tab are used, provided that under "Tranches..." (on the "Rates" tab) no tranches have been entered. If tranches are entered there, then these tranches are used. Therefore, when using tranches in the calculation with historical cost prices according to FIFO, it is important that the tranche cost prices are fully maintained and have correct values (also for the time before the introduction of the settlement tax).
