Variation Margin
The recording of a variation margin largely corresponds to the recording of Initial Margin.
The key combination for entering a variation margin is <CTRL>+<2> for the account transactions and then the <A> key.
Please note the following:

Margin account | Select the corresponding virtual margin account from this selection list. To enter a variation margin, you must select an existing margin account here, i.e. one that you have previously created when entering an initial margin. |
Amount | Enter the amount of the variation margin in this field. When posting a variation margin, the sign in the amount plays a decisive role. The sign must always be entered from the perspective of the billing account. Positive amounts therefore mean a reduction in the balance of the margin account and negative amounts correspond to an increase in the balance of the margin account. |
