Edit table parameters

You can view or change the parameters in all tables at any time. To do this, click on the "Show parameter and filter settings" icon or press the <CTRL>+<A> key combination.

The parameter field is opened in the upper area of the table window. You can edit the parameters in the left-hand part of this window. This field is dynamic, i.e. depending on which parameters the currently open evaluation has, you can make different settings here.

You do not need to make an entry in some input fields; the default value is then used. Example: For the "Evaluation date" parameter, the current date or the evaluation date entered in the input field on the "Start" tab is used for the entire workspace.

A context menu is defined for some of these fields so that you can make your settings even more quickly. For the "Evaluation date" field, you can use the context menu to select the start of the month or the start of the quarter as an entry, for example; any other date can be entered in the form dd.mm.yyyy.

You can configure the dialog box for entering the parameters yourself. To do this, select the CONFIGURE PARAMETER TYPES command in the menu of the "Parameter" icon on the "Table" tab. A dynamic dialog box appears in which you can make the desired settings. You can find detailed information on this in the chapter Configuration of the parameter dialogs.

To close the parameter field again, select the "Show parameter and filter settings" icon again or press the <CTRL>+<A> key combination.

After you have changed the parameters, you must update the table. To do this, select the "Refresh view" icon.

The "Re-evaluate" and "Refresh view" icons have different functions. While the data is read from the database again when the table is re-evaluated or, if the Intraday Online Service is switched on, is even retrieved from the server again, which may take a little longer, the "Refresh" function accesses the evaluation data that is still saved and only recalculates the entries that are affected by the changes made (e.g. parameters or filter conditions).

You can use the "Cancel calculation" icon, which appears on the far right of the table toolbar during the evaluation, or the <ESC> button to cancel calculation processes that are too long.
