System architecture (terminal services)

Several architectures can be used to set up the system architecture for operation with terminal services. It is advisable to divide the various tasks between different systems as shown below.

The variant shown above provides for a special server on which the components<server>, <data update/maintenance> and <> are installed, just as in operation without terminal services. Only the individual workstations with the components <Application>, <Crystal Reports> and <Documentation> are replaced by the installation on the terminal server.

When operating with terminal services, special attention must be paid to setting up the authorizations. This applies both to the user administration of the Infront Portfolio Manager and to the Windows authorizations to prevent users from accessing certain files in the first place.
