Standard error channel

The standard error measures how close the prices are to the linear regression line. Standard error channels are displayed by drawing two parallel lines above and below a regression line. The lines have a certain distance from the regression line (standard error).

Proceed as follows to draw a standard error channel in a chart:

  1. First mark the price trend.
  2. Select the "Standard error channel" icon.
  3. Draw the channel in the chart while holding down the left mouse button.
  4. You can use the gray markings to move the line slightly if necessary.
  5. You can enter the exact start and destination point in the following dialog box. You can also see the percentage increase in the displayed interval (annually, monthly or daily).

In the "Confidence factor" field, change the value of the deviation. The distance between the lines is then changed accordingly.
