Change column width with the mouse
Proceed as follows to change the column width with the mouse:
- In the heading row, move the mouse pointer to the right-hand dividing line of the column whose width you want to change. The mouse pointer changes to a double arrow.
- Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse in the desired direction.
As soon as you release the mouse button, the column is created in the new width.
If the autosize function is activated, your manual changes will be lost as soon as the table is rebuilt. To change the column width permanently, you must deactivate the autosize function. To do this, select the OPTIONS... in the menu of the "General options" icon on the "Table" tab. The "Table settings" dialog box appears. Switch to the "Spacing" tab and deactivate the "Adjust cell size" checkbox.
