Create restrictions

Module "Portfolio Service Extended Portfolio Analysis"

To create a new restriction, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the RESTRICTIONS command on the "Configuration" tab. The "Configure restrictions" dialog box appears by default with the "Restrictions" tab open.
  2. Select the "Create new restriction" icon in the "Restrictions" area on the left. A new entry with the name "Restriction (1)" is created.
  3. Now select an existing restriction scheme from the selection list in the right-hand area.

Restrictions that were created before version 5.50 of the Infront Portfolio Manager are marked with a corresponding symbol. These can no longer be changed.

Please read the section Obsolete restrictions.

  4. Define the parameters of the restriction. To do this, select the "Parameter..." button in the "Restriction type" area. Set the relevant parameters in the "Edit restriction parameters" dialog box that appears.

If you have selected a parameterless restriction schema as the basis for the restriction, you can only edit the restriction using the underlying schema. To do this, switch to the "Restriction schema" tab and edit the MM-Talk formula of the schema using the "Definition" button.
  5. If necessary, change the name of the restriction in the "Name" input field. To do this, select the "Edit designation" icon and adjust the proposed designation in the "Edit designation of restriction scheme" dialog box that appears. The suggested name is derived from the MM-Talk formula that you entered for the restriction scheme using the "Definition" button.
