Create new locks

To define a lock, you must assign at least an abbreviation and a name and select the type.

Proceed as follows to create a new lock in the "Manage locks" dialog box:

1. Select the "Create new lock" icon.

2. Then enter a name and an abbreviation for the new lock in the "Edit lock" dialog box that appears.

3. Then select the type of lock ("hard" or "soft") from the selection list.

4. Optionally, you can enter a validity date in the "Validity" field or select it in the expandable calendar.

5. If you confirm the entries in the "Edit lock" dialog box with "OK", the new lock is added to the list.

6. Finally, close the "Manage locks" dialog box with "OK".
