License monitoring

In the user administration, you have the option of monitoring the user licenses used. Proceed as follows:

  1. If necessary, start the user administration via the <User administration> command in the Windows start menu.
  2. Log in to the user administration login dialog with your user name and password. To do this, use the login data of the administrator previously created as described in the section Create administrator for user administration .
  3. Select the EXTRAS, LICENSE MONITORING command in the main menu of the user administration.
The "License monitoring" dialog box appears.

Here you will find the two tabs "Module overview" and "Details".
On the "Module overview" tab, all available modules are displayed, including the used or possible licenses.
On the "Details" tab, you can select a specific module from the selection list. You will receive information about the module and also a list of user names that use a license. This gives you a quick overview of which modules are "occupied" by which users.
  4. Select the "Close" button to close the "License monitoring" dialog box.

The user-based modules are linked to certain system rights or object rights. When configuring the system and object roles, the modules are also listed with the rights.

If a user is assigned a system role that contains a right that is linked to a module, a corresponding license for this module is assigned. If several rights are marked with a module, several different licenses are reduced accordingly.

If a user is assigned a right that is linked to a module via an (object) role in a specific zone, a corresponding license is assigned for this module. Please note that no more than one license per user is blocked, regardless of how many zones the user has the corresponding right to.

Beispiel

In the module overview you will find the entry "Advanced Technical Analysis". In this case, the module is available 100 times and has so far been assigned to the three users listed.
