If you have opened the "Document archive" worksheet in the workspace of a securities account object , you can also archive documents for this object (owner, portfolio, securities account...) that you have saved on your computer outside the Infront Portfolio Manager. In addition to PDF files, any other files - e.g. text, Word or graphic files - can also be selected and archived.
Proceed as follows to archive external documents:
Select the "Archive document" icon at the top of the "Document archive" worksheet. Or press the key combination<CTRL>+<ALT>+<M>.
In the "Archive document" dialog box that appears, select the "Search document" icon next to the "Name" input field and then select the file on your computer in the familiar "Open" dialog box. Or enter the exact path of the saved document in the "Name" input field. You can of course also paste copied paths from the clipboard here.
If necessary, select a type in the "Type" input field below. Tip: You can create new document types for your own reports in the "Template properties" dialog box.
In the "Comment" field, you have the option of entering a comment text for the document.
Confirm the entries with the "Archive" button. The document is stored in the document archive.
By default, the permitted size of the documents to be archived is 10 MB.
If you have opened the document archive via the "Search document archive" icon on the "Data maintenance" tab, it is not possible to archive external documents. If you would like to link and archive a document saved on your computer with a holder (portfolio, securities account, etc.), open the holder's workspace via Explorer or object search and switch to the "Document archive" worksheet.
