To record the exercise of an option, warrant or futures contract in the securities account, proceed as follows:
Open the "Enter transactions" worksheet as described above in the section Enter transactions and select the desired holder if necessary.
Open the DEPOT menu in the "Enter transactions" worksheet.
Select the transaction type DERIVATIVE EXERCISE from the securities account transaction types. Use the keyboard to enter the exercise of a derivative when the "Enter transactions" worksheet is open as follows: Press the key combination <CTRL>+<1> for the securities account transaction types. Then press the button<D>. The "Exercise derivatives" dialog box appears.
Enter the date and the warrant to be exercised (or the option or future to be exercised) in the "Exercise derivatives" dialog box. To search for a security, enter the WKN, the name or part of the name in the "Selection" input field and start the search with the <RETURN> key or with the "Search" icon. Or click on this icon to select the desired derivative from the list of derivatives in the securities account that appears.
If necessary, select the desired hit in the search result and confirm with "OK".
The correct entry or search for a derivative is made clear by displaying information on the security and the correct underlying.
The number of options or warrants available in the securities account on this date is shown in the "Number" field.
Select the transaction currency.
Confirm your entries with "Enter". You will then automatically be taken to the dialog box "Purchase" (or "Sales" for sales options). The relevant underlying value of the option or warrant is preset there.
You can find out how to access the dialog box for entering individual orders in the section Enter transactions.
Make absolutely sure that you transfer all details from the corresponding bank statement correctly.
