Create diagrams

  1. First open the table for which you want to create a diagram. Then select the "Create new diagram" icon. The "Diagram definition" dialog box opens.
  2. Enter a meaningful name in the "Diagram name" field. This name is later displayed on the tab at the bottom of the table or diagram window.
  3. Create the desired rows using the "New row" button. More on this in the section Adding rows.

    You can also specify in this window whether the diagram should be sorted. To do this, activate the "Sort by" checkbox and specify which columns are to be used for sorting (e.g. "Name").

    You can also group the display and summarize it by industry, for example. This function makes pie charts and ring charts in particular clearer. To do this, activate the "Group by" checkbox and select the table column by which you want to group.

    In grouped mode, the numerical values are calculated by adding up all the values in the respective group. You can define the calculation mode in the "Series definition" window. More on this in the section Add rows.
  4. Close the dialog box again. The newly created diagram is displayed on a new data sheet in the table window. To switch between the two data sheets, use the tabs at the bottom of the table or diagram window.

You can also choose to show the tabs at the top of the window. To switch, use the DIAGRAM REGISTER CARD TOP command in the menu of the "View options" icon on the "Table" tab.

Delete diagrams

Open the diagram to be deleted and click on the "Delete diagram" icon. This action cannot be undone.

The table view for a diagram cannot be deleted.
