Define formula filter

Module "Advanced Technical Analysis"

Of course you can also define your own formula filters with Infront Portfolio Manager:

  1. If no signal control has been created yet, first select the command NEW, SIGNAL CONTROL in the Explorer, e.g. in the context menu of your desktop folder.
  2. The "Signals" folder is then created in Explorer.

You can also create various other objects for signal control under the "Signals" folder, and of course you can also add formula filters to existing signal control folders, in which case you do not start with step 1, but with step 3. Then select the signal control folder you want to use.

  3. Now select the "Signals" folder with the right mouse button and select the commands NEW, FORMULA FILTER in the context menu.
Or, with the folder selected, select the "Create new object" icon at the top of the Explorer and then the FORMULA FILTER command in its menu.
Or select the FORMULA FILTER command in the menu of the "Create objects" icon on the "Data maintenance" tab in the ribbon.
  4. Assign a meaningful name in the "Formula filter properties" dialog box that appears.
  5. The workspace of the formula filter opens with the editor in which you can make your settings and define your formula.
  6. Select the "Formula" button to open the formula editor to define your formula. You must first define the formula, then specify the securities to be analyzed.

The formula editor and MM-Talk are described in detail at MM-Talk reference . There you will find the explanations for all fields and functions for entering formulas as well as the keywords for the MM-Talk formula language.

  7. After the configuration, select the "Save" icon or press the <CTRL>+<S> key combination.
  8. An "Input" object has been created under the formula filter in the Explorer. Under this entry you create the securities for which you want to apply the formula filter.
  9. To do this, select the "Input" object with the right mouse button and select the ADD... command in the context menu or press the <INPUT> key.
  10. The object search opens. Here you can enter the name or WKN of the security you wish to insert.
  11. If several securities are found initially, double-click on the desired security in the search result of the object search.

Optionally, you can also copy securities or entire folders using drag & drop under "Input" or insert individual securities using the <INSERT> key.
