Portfolios and user-defined fields

In principle, there are no user-defined fields on portfolios, because user-defined fields are always defined for portfolio versions. The user-defined fields of the portfolio versions appear in the version history in the "Portfolio properties" dialog box; you can edit the values of the selected portfolio version using the "User-defined fields..." button.

If you configure a custom field in the "Set up custom fields" dialog box so that it is available for portfolios, then this custom field can be set separately for each version of this portfolio.

Custom fields that are configured on Portfolio can no longer be historized via the historization for custom fields. The corresponding setting is not available and will be reset if necessary.

Beispiel:

If you configure a custom field to Owner and Portfolio, this field cannot be historicized.
