Define securities limits
In the following table you will find information on all fields in the "Enter limit" window.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Securities | Enter the name or WKN in the field or start the object search by clicking on the "Search" icon to find a security. Please also read the section Search field and object search. As soon as a security is entered, information from the Infront Portfolio Manager database, e.g. the current price and the 250-day volatility, is displayed in the top right-hand corner of the dialog window. |
Currency | Select the currency from this selection list. The currency selected here serves as the valuation currency, particularly for limits on securities. Target and stop values are interpreted in this currency, loss values are determined on the prices in limit currency. You will find the limit currency as a column in the limit tables. In charts whose currency differs from the limit currency, the limits are displayed as curves calculated using exchange rates. |
Goal | The price value above which a signal is generated. You can either enter an absolute price value in the first field or specify a percentage for the price increase next to it. |
Validity | Period (in days) for which the limit should apply. If the target limit has not been reached by the end of the term, you will receive a signal after the evaluation informing you of the end of the limit. |
Stop | The price value below which you expect the signal. You can specify either an absolute price value or a percentage for the price increase. |
Loss | Percentage by which a price trend - viewed from the last maximum of the close - should not fall. Otherwise a signal is generated. |
Progression | You can set a progression (in %) for the stop and loss limit. The progression can be either cumulative (compound interest) or linear. In the limit chart, these limits are represented by a curved or diagonal line. |
Placed on the stock exchange | For each limit, you can note whether the limit was also placed on the stock exchange. |
Short limit | Limits can also be defined as short limits. The definition for signal generation is reversed. This means that the target limit must be breached from above by the price trend, and the stop and loss must be breached from below. The loss then moves down with the price. |
Depot | Limits can be assigned to a securities account. If signals are generated, the relevant securities account and the current position are also displayed in the table of limit signals. |
Start date | This is the date from which the maximum calculation for the loss value should start. The default setting should be the date of the limit setup. |
Cost price | You can optionally set a cost price for the loss value. If the value in the period under review is greater than the price maximum, the percentages of the loss refer to this value. |
Related to | Specifies whether the limit should only apply to the spot rate or whether spot and variable rates should be evaluated. |
Limit folder | Select a limit folder from the list if you have created several limit folders. |
Remark | You can add your own comments to the evaluations (tables). |
