Directory structure of the database
The <shared directory> is created when the database is installed. Read and write permissions must be set up for this directory for all clients and all users. The directory structure is as follows:

data | Contains the course database, the initial export database and other files for storing global information (relevant for all users) in the substructure. |
export | The initial export database, which must be converted into a relational database (Oracle, MS-SQL) with tool support. If necessary, read the section Set up database. |
timedata | The system's course database |
sys | Global configuration files that are relevant for all clients and users |
tmp | Storage location for temporary files |
update | Storage location for future updates |
