Variables in the formula editor
When you enter a new formula, the Infront Portfolio Manager automatically includes it in the "Parameter" field and assigns the default parameter value if necessary. You can find more information on assigning variables in the sections Setting default values - The parameter dialog and Assignment of parameters.
If the formula is in a formula context that manages common variable assignments (e.g. for charts and tables), a list of context-defined variables appears in the top right-hand corner of the formula editor window. To insert a variable from this list into the formula text at the current cursor position, select the corresponding entry with the mouse.
If you enter a variable in the formula text that already exists in the context, it is automatically assigned the value that is assigned to the context variable. This automatic synchronization can make your work with MM-Talk much easier. For example, to use the same date value as a parameter in several columns of a table, assign the same variable name for the date in all columns. If you now set the date in the parameter dialogs, all columns are updated automatically.
