Variable typing
You can display a list of all variables of the currently displayed formula and their variable types in the formula editor. Proceed as follows to open this typing overview:
- Select the command EXTRAS, TYPING OVERVIEW in the main menu of the formula editor.
- Or use the key combination <CTRL>+<T> in the formula editor.
The overview shows all variables and the types determined for them. The list also shows the type of the initial object of the formula.
Variables can also appear twice in this overview if several cases are distinguished when determining the type. This facilitates troubleshooting during formula development.
For parameters that are not currently assigned, you will find the type "Unknown" in the list. If you enter a value for the parameter, the correct type will also be displayed in this list.
If variables are indented in the list, you can hide and show them again by double-clicking on the higher-level variable or line. you can recognize "closed" lines by a slight colouring.
You sort the list as usual by double-clicking on the column headings "Variable" or "Type". Double-click on the same column heading again to reverse the sorting.
