Import translation memories

You can import translation memories. The XLIFF, TMX and CSV formats are available.

Proceed as follows to import a translation memory:

1. Select the IMPORT... command in the main menu of the "Edit translation memories" dialog box.
2. Then select the file to be imported in the "Import" dialog box that appears. You can select the desired file type beforehand using the selection list at the bottom right.
3. Select the "Open" button.
4. Then select the desired import mode in the dialog box that appears. To do this, select the relevant button.
   

   

   
   The "Replace" button closes the open translation memory and replaces it with the imported one.
   The "Add" button adds new translation segments to the existing translation units. New translation units are not created with this function.
   To create the new translation units contained in the imported translation memory in addition to additions, select the "Merge" button.
   The translation memory is imported.

When exporting and importing TMs, make sure that the languages of TM and Infront Portfolio Manager match.

Example: The best way to export and import English reports is with English versions of the Infront Portfolio Manager.
