Software Distribution Portfolio Sync Interface and Infront Advisory Solution

The or the corresponding updater also supports software distribution.

The PackageUpdater.exe program installs a PSI or "Infront Advisory Solution" archive, which is usually downloaded from the server.

Command line in general

• exe /install /file=$Path_to_file
• exe /install /package=$Type [/testversion]
  $Type can be ʺpsiʺ or ʺasʺ

Examples

PackageUpdater.exe /install "/file=c:\Infront Portfolio Manager\shared\updates\psi-en-550-0019.zip"

PackageUpdater.exe /install /package=psi

In this case (i.e. without the optional path specification), the file of the selected type is searched for and installed in the standard directory for updates <shared/updates>. The latest PSI package suitable for the installation is automatically selected. The consecutive number (and not the date) is used here. The latest package (PSI test version) is used with the optional parameter "testversion". This is currently only available for PSI and requires a corresponding activation in the license.

Accept the name of the PSI or "Infront Advisory Solution" package unchanged after retrieval from the data update server. Otherwise problems may occur.
