Automatically assign field type

If only the automatically generated field type is to be used for a variable, activate this checkbox. It is then not possible to change the field type manually.

Empty field allowed

If this checkbox is activated, the corresponding field in the parameter dialog may remain empty (appears with a blue background). If no value is then entered, the variable is assigned the preset default value.

Field type

You can use this list to specify the type of values that can be assigned to a variable in the parameter dialog. Available types are:

• Number

• String (character string)

• Enumeration (selection box, for specific strings)

• Yes/No ("True"/"False" for Boolean values)

• Date

• Security (field for entering strings, with search button)

• Folder (The variable assignment is in the form of a string containing the name and type of the folder. This string is used as input for the MM-Talk function "FindFolder")

Display name

In this input field, enter a name for the parameter that is to be displayed in the evaluations instead of its actual name.
