Connect server to database

Like all installed standard workstations (step 8), the server must be connected to the database once. To do this, use the database connection tool, which you start via the <Connect database> command in the Windows Start menu. The tool gives you the option of selecting the <Shared directory>. After confirmation, the workstation is permanently connected to the selected database.

If you try to start the Infront Portfolio Manager without having established the connection to the database first, a dialog box appears with a corresponding message. You can use this dialog box to start the wizard directly to establish the connection to the database.
