Pool factor repayment

A separate transaction type is available for posting repayments of pool factor bonds.

The pool factor is the factor by which a (pool factor) bond is repaid in installments on regular dates.

The pool factor is offset against the nominal amount. At the beginning it is 1 and then gradually runs towards 0, e.g. 1 x 100, 0.9 x 100 and so on. Another way of repaying in installments is to deduct a certain percentage on fixed dates, e.g. 10 percent of 100, then 10 percent of 90 and so on.

The transaction type "Pool factor repayment" is only applicable for bonds in whose properties the checkbox "Bond has pool factor" is activated. Please read the section Bond master data.

Proceed as follows to enter a pool factor repayment:

  1. Open the "Enter transactions" worksheet as described above in the section Enter transactions and select the desired holder if necessary.
  2. Open the DEPOT menu in the "Enter transactions" worksheet.
  3. Select the transaction type POOL FACTOR REPAYMENT at Depot transaction types .

Use the keyboard to enter a pool factor repayment with the "Enter transactions" worksheet open as follows: Press the key combination <CTRL>+<1> for the securities account transaction types. Then press the <P> button.

The "Pool factor repayment" dialog box appears. Here you can select the pool factor bond via the "Select security from securities account" icon.

  4. After entering your data, select the "Next" button to go to the second page of the "Pool factor repayment" dialog box.
  5. Enter the changed pool factor in the "New pool factor" input field.
