Set or change password
Certainly not everyone should be allowed to see a user's personal data (e.g. current assets) and settings. Therefore, every user can protect their data with a password in the Infront Portfolio Manager.
The password is then requested and checked each time Infront Portfolio Manager is started. You must also enter the user name. The program can only be started if both entries match. Proceed as follows to change a password in the open Infront Portfolio Manager:
- Select the CHANGE PASSWORD command on the "Configuration" tab in the ribbon. The "Change password" dialog box opens.
- Enter the previous password in the "Old password" field. Leave the field empty if you have not used a password before.
- Enter a new password of your choice in the "New password" field.
- Repeat the new password in the "Confirm new password" field. This is a safety measure. It will only be saved if both passwords match - otherwise you will have to enter the password again.
- Confirm the entry with "OK".
