Edit macros

Proceed as follows to edit a macro:

  1. Open a formula editor in macro mode, e.g. via the command NEW, FORMULA-MACRO in the menu of the "Template" icon on the "Configuration" tab in the ribbon of the Infront Portfolio Manager.
  2. Enter the name of the macro you want to edit and then click on the "Open macro under cursor" icon.
Or open the function wizard and right-click on the desired macro to open the context menu. There, select the command OPEN DEFINITION.
The macro is opened in a new formula editor window and you can make the desired changes.
To remove the macro that is currently open from the database, select the command FORMULA, DELETE MACRO or click on the "Delete macro" icon.

You can only edit or delete macros that you have created yourself. All other macros are opened for reading only. However, you can use the command <CTRL>+<K> to completely copy a read-only macro and paste it into a new formula editor window with the command <CTRL>+<P>. You can then edit this macro and save it in the user library, for example.
