Evaluate limit signals

You can evaluate limit signals either manually or automatically.

Manual evaluation

In the context menu of your signal folder, e.g. the "Signals" folder, select the command SIGNAL CONTROL, START EVALUATION or press the <F9> key to search the database for signals.

Automatic evaluation
 1. To have the Infront Portfolio Manager automatically search for limit breakthroughs after each data retrieval, select the PROPERTIES command in the context menu of the "Signals" folder.
 2. Activate the "Start evaluation automatically after data import" checkbox and confirm with "OK".

If you have made all entries correctly and signals have been found, you will receive a list of signals (general signals) from the Infront Portfolio Manager and an evaluation of the limit folder (limit signals) as soon as a security breaches a limit.

Limit signals are generated when the following conditions are met:

Field

Description

Normal limits

 • Course is greater than the target
 • Price is lower than stop value
 • Price is lower than loss value

Short limits

 • Course is smaller than the target
 • Price is greater than stop value
 • Price is greater than loss value

All limits

 • Target has not been reached by the end date (start date + term).

You should first test this function to ensure that you have made all the entries correctly.
