Proceed as follows to activate a user-defined field for historization:

Select the "Custom fields" icon on the "Configuration" tab.

In the "Set up user-defined fields" dialog box that appears, select the desired user-defined field or create a new user-defined field.

Then select the "Define field type..." button.

In the "Define field type" dialog box that appears, activate the "Field is historicized" checkbox.

Confirm the entry with "OK".

Finally, select the "Save" button in the "Set up user-defined fields" dialog box.
You can now create a history for the user-defined field.
If you want to deactivate historization, deactivate the "Field is historized" checkbox. Please note that if you deactivate this type, previously entered histories may be lost.
