If you have opened the "Define field category" dialog box as described above, proceed as follows to delete a field category:

Select the entry to be removed in the list of field categories.

Select the "Delete selected field category" icon.

A confirmation prompt appears asking whether you really want to delete the field category, as this affects all assigned user-defined fields. Answer this query with "Yes" to remove the field category. User-defined fields to which this category was assigned are now managed without a category (list entry "None").
