Database update for databases prior to version 4.30

Database updates are only supported for databases from version 4.30.

To update older databases, proceed as follows:

1. Update the Infront Portfolio Manager to version 4.31. Follow the installation and update instructions in the corresponding documentation.
2. Update the database to version 4.31. Follow the instructions in the corresponding documentation.
3. If the installed database is a "Microsoft Access" database, it must be converted to an MS SQL or Oracle database using the Infront Portfolio Manager database tool (version 4.31). To do this, select the command INSTALLATION, CONVERT DATABASE in the main menu of the database tool.
4. Next, you can transfer the database to your current 6 environment according to this documentation.

Due to the conversion of the Infront Portfolio Manager to the modern 64-bit architecture, the Infront Portfolio Manager version 6.00 and higher will be installed in parallel to existing older versions. The existing data can then be transferred.
