The data update is usually time-controlled. You can find out how to assign the automatic data update to your Infront Portfolio Manager as a task in the chapter Time control.
You can also trigger the data update on the server manually using the "Data update/maintenance" component. Proceed as follows:
Start the Infront Portfolio Manager and select the command UPDATE DATA in the menu of the "Data update" icon on the "Data maintenance" tab.
Or press the key combination <CTRL>+<ALT>+<A> in the open Infront Portfolio Manager.
Or select the "Update data" icon on your quick access bar in the Infront Portfolio Manager. In the chapter Quick access toolbar in the online help, you can find out how to configure the Quick Access Toolbar and thus have quick access to exactly the functions you always need via the toolbar.
When retrieving data for the first time, the wizard will help you to set up the Internet connection. You can always call up the wizard via the data supply in the start menu.
Your Infront Portfolio Manager automatically recognizes whether your database is up to date and decides independently for which subscriptions data needs to be retrieved and imported. For example, the data for the current day, the last week or the last month is retrieved and read in.
The Infront Portfolio Manager starts the retrieval and then automatically reads the downloaded data into the database.
To prevent the data from being read in immediately, deactivate the "Transfer data to the database" checkbox on the "Actions" tab.
To cancel an import that has already started, you can also use the STOP IMPORT command in the "Data update" icon menu.
