Enter data in user-defined fields

All objects for which at least one user-defined field has been created have the USER DEFINED FIELDS command in the context menu. For securities you will find this command under the menu item SECURITY PAPER, for price quotations under PRICE NOTE, for folders under the item ORDER, etc. Selecting this command takes you to the window with the user-defined fields.

With the Explorer object selected, press the <CTRL>+<U> key combination to quickly open the user-defined fields for this object.

You can also access this window via the properties dialogs or via the context menus of selected objects in evaluations.

If you have opened the dialog box with the available user-defined fields, proceed as follows to enter data in the user-defined fields:

  1. If you have created user-defined fields in different field categories for this object type, first select the field category on the far left of the dialog box (in the example "Category SZ"). You will then see all user-defined fields in this field category.
  2. Enter the data or select the values from the selection lists.
  3. If necessary, select the next field category and proceed in the same way.
  4. If you have licensed the "Portfolio service change log" module, you can switch directly to the change log via the "Change log" icon at the bottom left of the dialog box with the corresponding authorization in order to track changes made to date.
  5. Finally, save your entries with "OK" or select "Cancel" to discard your changes. The window is closed.

Point the mouse at the name of a user-defined field to display the stored description as a hint window.

Read the section Create user-defined fieldsto find out how to enter a description for a user-defined field.
