Define a job schedule using the time control contained in the job server. The settings are similar to the time control for data retrieval.
Proceed as follows to start a job automatically:
If necessary, open the "Configure jobs" worksheet as described above.
Select the desired job in the job overview.
Then select the "Create new start time" icon at the bottom of the "Settings" mini-tab in the "Schedule" area. The "Execution times" dialog box appears.
Activate the "Perform the task at the following times" checkbox or leave it activated (default setting).
Then choose between the predefined modes by activating the corresponding option and selecting the day of the week in the case of the "Weekly" option and the day from the list in the case of "Monthly". If you want to run the job several times a day, activate the "Interval" option and enter the desired time interval in the "Time" input field (e.g. "02:00:00" for "every two hours"). The smallest possible interval is "one minute" ("00:01:00").
Then enter the time for the start time of the job (for all options except "Interval").
Confirm the entries with "OK" and close the "Execution times" dialog box.
Proceed in the same way if you want to set additional start times for the same job. In theory, any number of schedules can be created for each job. The next execution is displayed for each schedule. The next execution for the job can be seen above in the "Schedule" area. Currently deactivated schedules are inactive (grayed out).
Finally, select the FILE, SAVE command in the ribbon or the key combination <CTRL>+<S> to save the configuration. To change start times that have already been created, select the entry in the list and then select the "Edit selected start time" icon or double-click on the entry. This takes you back to the "Execution times" dialog box and you can, for example, change the times or (temporarily) deactivate the schedule. To delete created start times, select the entry in the list and then select the "Delete selected start time" icon.
