Batch export and (encrypted) ZIP archives
If you would like to pack all reports, report folders or CSV files of a batch export configuration into a ZIP archive, proceed as follows:
- Configure the batch export configuration as described in the sections Configure batch export and Output of the generated files .
In the "Naming scheme" dialog box, which you can access via the button to the right of the input field for the output directory, you will find new elements: - Activate the "Pack in ZIP" checkbox and enter the desired name for the ZIP archive in the corresponding input field. It is important that the file extension is ".7z".
- For the name of the ZIP archive, you can also use the predefined blocks or define new name components via the <FORMULA> entry, similar to the name of the output file below.
- Confirm the changes with "OK".
In the "Batch export" worksheet, you will then see the resulting path in the "Output of generated files" field. - Save the batch export configuration.
- Then start the export manually using the "Start export..." button, for example.
The exported PDF files are packed into a corresponding ZIP archive in the output directory. If encryption is activated in the general settings, the ZIP file is encrypted and can only be viewed and unpacked by entering the stored password.
If you later export further files to the same ZIP archive in the same folder, the new PDF files are added or - if they have the same name - overwritten.
