Set the price quotation of a security as the default valuation place

You can define a price quote (manually) as the default valuation place for the security. Proceed as follows:

  1. Select the EDIT WORKING PAPER command on the "Data maintenance" tab.
  2. In the object search that appears, enter the search term for the security to be edited - e.g. the WKN - and start the search by pressing <RETURN>.
  3. Select the desired security in the search result by double-clicking on it.
The "Master data" dialog box for the security opens.
  4. Select the desired price quote from the list of price quotes on the "Key data" tab.
  5. Then select the icon "Set selected quote as default valuation place".

In the list of price quotations, the price quotation receives this icon in the first column, which symbolizes the (manually assigned) standard valuation place.
  6. Finally, confirm the "Master data" dialog box with "Save".

You have the following options for changing the default valuation location again:

  • Select another price quote and set it as the default valuation place as described above.
  • If you select the "Reset default valuation location to default value" icon, the default valuation location for this security type is assigned. If necessary, read the following section Configuring valuation places for security types.

This icon in the list of price quotations symbolizes the default valuation place that is retrieved from the higher-level valuation place configuration for security types.
(To prevent this change from being adopted when the valuation place configuration for security types is changed, you must manually anchor the price quotation as the default valuation place as described above. The icon then changes accordingly)
