User-defined security names

You can flexibly determine the designation of securities that is used within the application and in reporting. On the one hand, you can directly assign a desired name to individual securities, which is not overwritten by the data import and synchronization. On the other hand, you can also configure a naming scheme in which names are composed of other master data components.

• The Infront Portfolio Manager contains a rule that assigns effective security designations. The fields "Display name", "WM name" and "Name" play a role here, from which the effective designation is selected according to priority. The order of priority is as follows:
  • Display name, Name

  • Display name, WM name, Name

The "Name" field is mandatory and therefore always contains a value. This security name is usually delivered via the data import.
