Benchmarks

Securities of the "Index" type can be stored as benchmarks for portfolio versions and profiles.

The Infront Portfolio Manager offers you the option of defining or calculating your own indices and providing them with a history. The price information of these user-defined indices is not stored in the database, but is calculated from the prices of the securities contained in the index.

Use this functionality to construct your own benchmarks, which you can use in a variety of ways in portfolio management. You can assign these benchmarks to portfolios (via their historicized portfolio versions) and profiles or select them as a comparative index in evaluations.

For benchmarks, both security objects of type "Index" and price quotation objects of type "Index" can be configured.
