Create new asset classification
Proceed as follows to create a new asset classification in the open "Edit basic asset classes" dialog box:
- In the "Edit basic asset classes" dialog box, switch to the "Asset classifications" tab.
- Click on the "Create new asset classification" icon above the list. The new asset classification appears in the list.
The "Create asset classification" dialog box appears. - In the "Create asset classification" dialog box, enter a name and, if necessary, a different display name in the "Name" input field. Then select the "Classification formula" button. The formula editor opens.
- Enter the desired definition in the formula editor. A new classification with splitting option can be set up using a previously created user-defined field of the type "Weight distribution". If necessary, read the section Use user-defined fields.
- Save the formula. The formula editor is closed.
- Confirm the "Create asset classification" dialog box with "OK". The green tick on the icon of the "Classification formula" button always indicates that a (valid) formula has been saved.
- The "Edit basic asset classes" dialog box appears again.
- Confirm your entries with "OK".
