Historicize user-defined fields
The historization function on user-defined fields allows you to create values for user-defined fields that change over time. This historicized data is included in retrospective or period-related evaluations and used in customer reports or tables via the MM-Talk formula language.
In principle, all types of user-defined fields can be historicized. This does not apply to user-defined fields that are used on portfolios, as portfolios themselves allow historization. Historization for such user-defined fields is then deactivated for all object types.
For historicized user-defined fields, the value history is included for each data field. The value history is entered by specifying the value and the validity period for this value. When MM-Talk accesses a historized user-defined field, a date can be set as a parameter and the value valid on this date is returned as the result.
