Asset classifications
In contrast to the basic asset classes, which are used to monitor allocation determinations, asset classifications provide a unique asset class name for each asset position. Asset classifications therefore represent a criterion according to which assets can be categorized, e.g. by region, currency or asset class.
Asset classifications are described by an MM-Talk formula, which must provide an asset class name or an asset class weighting for the case of asset class splitting for all corresponding position objects, i.e. securities positions, accounts and special investments.
Several different classifications can be created and used in parallel in the Infront Portfolio Manager. To obtain an asset overview that is grouped according to a specific asset classification, open the corresponding template and select the desired asset classification in the parameters.
You can export or import asset classifications. If necessary, please also read the sections Export objects and Import objects.
